The Tech Talent South Family

Just like the old saying, "It takes a village to raise a child," we believe it takes a community to teach people how to code and immerse them in the world of tech. Below is a handful of people that have been involved with Tech Talent South along the way, from students, to staff, to guest lecturers, we consider them all family! We also like to show a couple of them off each month.

Stefanie Ward

Untitled design (1)

Stefanie was born in the NC mountains, raised in Charlotte, and got her undergrad degree at UNC Chapel Hill. She spent several years teaching high school before admitting she had more fun hacking calculator games and building class websites than grading exams. Discovering Ruby and Javascript was a gift. After a stint working front-end development at Xcoobee, she is excited to be returning to teaching. In her free time, you can usually find her either buried in a book or the heart of the wilderness. Or both.

Sean Petersen

Sean is Nutmeg born and Tar Heel bred, with a love for trains and a collection of coffee mugs. He found his way to TTS through a combination of Venture For America and a strategically colored resume. His academic background is in political science and entrepreneurship, and he brings to TTS a passion for process efficiencies and an enthusiasm for a well timed joke.
